The Investigative Division of the Trussville Police Department is comprised of four Investigators. The investigative Division is located at 131 Main Street, in the Administrative Office of the Police Department. Each of our Investigators works various types of investigations, including property crimes, crimes of violence, identity thefts, fraud, as well as narcotic investigations. Each Investigator also specializes in a specific area of criminal investigation. The Investigation Division is responsible for conducting the in depth investigation of crimes which occur within the Trussville City limits, both Misdemeanor and Felony crimes. Investigators normally work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. There is an Investigator "on call" after normal business hours and on weekends, should one be needed.
Phil Dillon is our Business Services Investigator and also coordinates our departmental training. Phil came to us from the Birmingham Police Department and has been with us since 1999. Dan Brown worked for Adamsville Police Department before coming to the Trussville Police Department, and has been with us since 2000. Dan's expertise is in identity theft and fraud investigations. Dan may be contacted directly by calling (205) 661-4007.
Todd Posey has been with our department since 2003 and worked for the Birmingham Police Department prior to coming to work at Trussville. Todd specializes in narcotic investigations as well as crimes of violence. Todd may be contacted directly by calling (205) 661-4005.
