No Parking Zones – Mermont Circle - This request is awaiting results from Skipper and Associates regarding recomendations on the proposal.

 

No Truck Route - Magnolia Heights Drive – this request is awaiting passage of a city ordinance prohibiting large trucks as well as an agreement with the City of Birmingham and Jefferson County for the posting of signs outside of the Trussville City Limits.

 

 

Having concluded the agenda items, the floor recognized committee members for additional comments.

 

Chief Ledbetter requested the stop signs on Cherokee Drive at the intersection of Chickasaw Drive be removed. After an explanation of the request a motion and a second were received.  The motion carried by unanamious vote. A recomendation will be forwarded to the City Council for removal of the signs.

 

Chief Sivley requested teh stop signs on Parkway Drive at the intersection of Pine Street be removed.  He explained that since the closing of the old Jr High School and the road in front of the building that the signs were no longer necessary or beneficial.  A motion and a second were received. The motion carried by unanimous vote.  A recomendation will be made to the City Council for removal of the signs.

 

Having no additional business requiring immediate attention a motion to adjourn was made by Chief Ledbetter.
