MEMBER COMMENTS
Chief Ledbetter had mentioned concerns regarding people parking on both sides of Cherokee Drive between US 11 and Mohawk Drive. He advised there had been several incidents where children were running between cars across the street and were almost struck. He requested the committee consider recommending restricting parking on the East side of Cherokee Drive in that area.
Dr Nafziger asked about the curb construction at the intersection of Parkway Drive and Cherokee Drive. She advised when making a right turn off Parkway onto Cherokee it was almost impossible to make without crossing into the other lane or running over the curb. Councilman Plant advised he had observed the same. We will check with the Street Department and Engineering to determine if the curb and sidewalks were installed within the specifications.
John Griscom inquired when the City had its last Disaster/Resource and Threat Analysis assessment took place and should we consider having another.
This will be researched and reported at our next meeting.
On a motion by John Griscom the meeting was adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
